Free early access for Android

How to install on Android ↓

Before you depart

Free early access includes the current destinations and missions. Open Fast-track → Journey settings → Full access for unlimited fast-track, or turn it off to try earned progression.

After installation, no connection, account or AI subscription is needed. Development testing used Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra; other phones may perform differently.

Paused journeys and manual flight hold position while you're away. Travel and rewards are still being refined.

Before your first flight

Install. Then explore.

Download the Android APK from this site and install it on your phone. This early-access release is distributed outside Google Play, so Android may ask you to allow the installation.

Android 8.0 or later with compatible graphics and an up-to-date Android System WebView. Not available for iPhone or iPad. Menu names vary by phone and Android version; performance varies by device.

  1. Download the game. Use the Android download button above, preferably over Wi-Fi. Wait for the download to finish and leave extra storage space for installation.
  2. Open the APK. Tap the completed download, or open Files / My Files → Downloads and tap the Earth-is-Optional…apk file.
  3. Allow this installation source. If Android asks, tap Settings and enable Allow from this source for the browser or file manager you used. Return to the APK. If needed, search your phone’s Settings for Install unknown apps and select that same app.
  4. Install and open. Tap Install, then Open. If Play Protect offers a scan, let it finish. If it reports the app as harmful or unsafe, stop rather than bypassing the warning. Keep Play Protect enabled.
  5. Restore the source setting. After installation, turn Allow from this source off again. You can allow it temporarily when installing a future update.

Your first flight

Turn your phone sideways and tap Explore. Choose a destination in the map, then engage Hyper. Try Fast-track to shorten the journey, and take the controls when you arrive. After installation, the game works offline without an account or AI subscription.

For a quick playtest, check steering, music, the map and a destination arrival. When reporting a problem, include your phone model, Android version, game version from the menu and what happened.

Samsung: “Auto Blocker” stopped the install

Some Galaxy phones add this extra restriction. If you trust the download and choose to proceed, go to Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker, temporarily switch it off, then reopen the APK and follow the steps above. Turn Auto Blocker back on afterwards. This is separate from Play Protect.

Still unable to install or update?

Check free storage and that the download finished; download the file again if it is incomplete. For updates, install the newer APK over the existing game to retain progress. Do not uninstall first: uninstalling removes local saves.

A work-managed phone, parental controls or additional Android security settings may prevent installation. Follow the device’s official guidance or ask its administrator; these steps do not override those restrictions. If Android reports an incompatible app or conflicting package, record the exact message before taking further action.
